Content Starts New Details on Rumours of Jon Pertwee Doctor Who Radio Series

Published by Leave a comment

There are new updates on the rumours doing the rounds surrounding a forthcoming Doctor Who radio series, with BBC Enterprises said to be denying the claims they had been willing to fund ten adventures for airing on BBC Four.

The fan rumours had claimed that the episodes, which would see Jon Pertwee return to the role of the Doctor, would form an entire series, a “fact” that now seems to have been debunked.

The Beeb are now said to be putting a hold on original plans and, while radio episodes are still planned, they may be limited to just five episodes and may be privately funded.

The rumours tie with Jon Pertwee’s own comments earlier this month and details in the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine.
