Meet Gabby and Alice: Titan’s New Comic Companions

Titan comics have unveiled their new companions for their forthcoming Tenth and Eleventh Doctor series’ - Gabriella Gonzalez and Alice Obiefune.

Gabriella, known as Gabby, will meet the Tenth Doctor while working in her parents laundromat in New York during the annual Day of the Dead celebrations, whisking her off on the journey of a lifetime.

Alice meanwhile meets Eleven while grieving for her mother and her adventures with the Doctor will include a trip to the 1970s, amnesiac aliens and a threat to the entire cosmos.

The first issues of Titan’s new series’ will hit stores on July 23 and a third range featuring Peter Capaldi in the title role will be added later in the year, presumably around the time of Series 8.

Matt Smith and John Barrowman Would Return to Doctor Who

Both John Barrowman and Matt Smith have gone in record to say they'd love to return to Doctor Who in the future. Barrowman, who played intergalactic conman Jack Harkness throughout the Russell T. Davies era and through his own spin-off Torchwood, has said he has no idea if he will ever be back in the series, but wouldn't hesitate if the opportunity arose: "The thing is, I go around with Eve [Myles] and people to these conventions and we see the humongous following that we have and also the hunger that there is for 'Torchwood'. If I'm asked to play Captain Jack Harkness again, I would do it at the drop of a hat. I think there's a lot more to tell, there's a lot more out there, there are those missing years that Jack talked about, there's how he becomes 'The Face of Boe', there's all sorts of things. But it's not up to me - it's up to Russell, Julie Gardner, and the BBC." Speaking in an interview with Nerd B**tards, Barrowman also praised Peter Capaldi, with whom he worked on Torchwood: Children of Earth: "I've worked with [Peter], I think he's a great actor. Meanwhile Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith has also said he'd love to come back for a multi-Doctor story in future after his experience working on The Day of the Doctor with predecessor David Tennant. Speaking at Wizard World St. Louis Comic Con, Smith said: "It was a real historic moment for me. I always look at David and go, ‘Oh my god. It’s Doctor Who!’ David is a great guy and a good friend.
