Into the Dalek attracted an audience of 5.2m on its live Saturday broadcast, down from series premiere Deep Breath but against heavy competition from The X-Factor on ITV for the final 15 minutes, the show retaining the majority of it’s audience.
The episode received a 24.7 per cent share of the entire TV audience and was the highest rated show on the BBC for the evening (Casualty receiving 3.9m viewers). The episode was second-highest rated programme of the evening across all networks, only beaten by the behemoth that is The X-Factor with 9.3m viewers.
