The BBC have responded to enquiries by DWA surrounding the DVD release of The Underwater Menace to say they currently have no details on a release.
After being asked whether the release would contain two or four live action episodes, whether it will be animated if it contains two and what the release date will be, the BBC responded to say:
“We have yet to confirm the exact content of this release or its release date. We hope to have more information in the Spring. Perhaps you’d like to e-mail us again around April.”
The comment is suggestive of a post-April release date, potentially May of 2014 which would leave a gap in the DVD release schedule.
The BBC also added:
“The 2014 Classic Doctor Who schedule is still being worked on.”
