Karen Gillan has spoken out in defence of Doctor Who producer Steven Moffat and how women are portrayed on the show.
Speaking in response to a question posed at the Sci-Fi Expo, Gillan insisted that she disagreed that there was any element of sexism in Moffat’s writing.
“I just don’t understand that because I feel like I had a very rounded, interesting, flawed and layered character to play and I wore skirts but Steven Moffat had nothing to do with that! He doesn’t care about costumes. So I don’t really understand that if I’ve got to be honest.”
Meanwhile a 15 second teaser for Karen’s latest film Gurdians of the Galaxy has been unveiled:
Guardians of the Galaxy stars Karen Gillan alongside an ensemble cast of the likes of Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Glenn Close, Batista and Benicio del Toro. The film is released in August.
