Key Series 9 character Ashildr, aka Me, returns just in time for Christmas with The Legends of Ashildr, the latest Doctor Who release from BBC Books.

Featuring tales from Ashildr’s infinitely long life, the release is set between the events of The Girl Who Died and The Woman Who Lived, filling in the gaps between the viking era and 17th century.

The BBC description says:

“Ashildr, a young Viking girl, died helping the Doctor and Clara to save her village. Brought back to life by the Doctor using alien technology, she is now immortal - The Woman Who Lived. Since then, Ashildr has kept journals, detailing her extraordinary life. Featuring four short stories by James Goss, Jenny Colgan, David Llewellyn and Justin Richards, The Legends of Ashildr is released this coming Thursday at £9.99 from all good bookstores, or just £8.60 from Amazon.
