Doctor Who‘s audience grew by a huge 600,000 viewers for last night’s episode, growing from 3.6 million viewers last week to 4.2 million for Extremis.
Britain’s Got Talent 2017 was once again the most watched show of the evening with over 9 million viewers, up over a million viewers on last weeks episode.
The episode scored the fourth highest overnight of the series, which as expected is being led by The Pilot. The final consolidated rating will of course include viewers who lated via catch-up and bring the final total up by some considerable margin, likely making the episode one of the highest rated so far this series.

Moffat is still the show runner and Extremis is his episode, he’s not doin next season though

I’m not a fan of most of his work but he’s done some good stories in the past if you remember the Girl in the Fireplace episode with Tennant for example and Blink with Tennant. But I agree most of his stuff is just too complicated

MeH! Still trying to rush to much into one ep and you could leave out some parts to expand on others. The relationship thing has been done twice and unless it has any bearing on the events then it is wasted air time that could be used for something better.
So what do you all think the reason viewership went up? I think because he is blind (new territory) and new monsters. Plus Missy which I think was not enough air time.

My second favourite episode.
Moffat is just blowing me away.
He was already a good showrunner, but Extremis blew me away almost as much as Heaven Sent.
They deserved the large views for that spectacular episode!
