It would be far preferable for this Doctor to be different to 10 and 11 in particular in this area but I guess it’s ratings

I thought he was always attached, 11 was so into her but 12 is a lot more either fatherly or we’re not in love anymore but damn two years later and I still love you but I’ll never say it

Okay I’ve actually just read the article and it’s just clickbait, the doctor loves all the people in his life more than himself in an affectionate way regardless of whether it’s platonic or otherwise

I don’t think age is an issue. Why is it strange if 56-57 year old Capaldi had a kissing scene with Coleman in her 20s when most found it okay and normal for Smith in his late 20s to be snogging with Kingston? It’s not that its gross, but its wrong because of the character of Capaldi’s doctor. 12 shows no compassion for romance, and if so, he at time shows preferences to older women because that’s his current attraction. For Capaldi, he didn’t want papa-nicole moments because it would ruin his purpose for the character’s current incarnation and he might of not felt comfortable with it at all. Personally, I can’t agree with Moffat if he means love in the sense of romance. When I say I love my friends, it is different then I love you to a specific person. If he means the romantic sense, then he’s wrong, but in a general sense he is right.

The Doctor admires and is fascinated with Clara, he also loves her, but it is not a romantic love. I really feel sorry for people who can’t understand that a person can love someone without it involving romance.

He loves all his companions, that’s undeniable. However, it’s not always a romantic interest
