John Barrowman is set to formalise his relationship with his partner of 10 years, Scott Gill, according to reports, though the Captain Jack actor insists the arrangement will not be called a marriage.

Barrowman said that the happy couple would be signing the civil register:

“We’re just going to sign the civil register. We’re not going to have any ceremony because I’m not a supporter of the word marriage for a gay partnership.”

And there could be more good news for Barrowman in the future as he revealed the pair’s intention to have a baby:

“The daughter of a very, very old friend offered to carry a child for us. I’ve known her since she was five or six. She has kids of her own but said that if we wanted a child she’d be happy to do it.”
