Con Kasterborous, the North Alabama Doctor Who convention, has announced a special discounted rate to pre-register for their 2014 convention taking place the 28th and 29th of June 2014.
The convention, which started in 2012, has grown considerably over the last couple of years. The first year saw approximately five hundred attendees which doubled this past June thanks in part to the presence of special guest Caitlin Blackwood, the actress who played young Amelia Pond. Next year’s convention will not only see it having a change of venue but also welcoming seventh Doctor actor Sylvester McCoy to the convention as well as his era’s script editor Andrew Cartmel. Alongside them, the convention welcomes once again IDW Doctor Who comic artist Kelly Yates, the noted fan author and video editor Lady Soliloque as well as an assortment of panels and dealers.
Through Christmas, tickets for the two day convention are marked down to $40. Tickets can be purchased at the Con Kasterborous website where you can also find out about the convention’s venue, the Westin at Bridgstreet in Huntsville, and other information.
