Rose Tyler actress Billie Piper has revealed that she’d “be game” for a spin-off series featuring the alternative universe metacrisis Tenth Doctor.
Doctor Who TV reports that Piper, speaking at the recent Awesome Con in Washington D.C, said of the idea:
“That would be interesting. I’d be game!”
The actress also spoke on her return to the show during the 50th anniversary special, particular the fact she didn’t truly play Rose on her return or get an on screen reunion with the Doctor:
“I’ve heard a lot of that, ‘Why couldn’t you just be Rose and actually see him and be with him?’ I think to come back and do something slightly different was welcome for me because I’d come back so many times that even though I loved Rose I thought it probably needed a bit of a shift. And that’s what Steven Moffat wanted, he brought something very different. It’s good to watch it and wish that they could somehow connect in the way they used to instead of being totally satisfied. I really enjoyed playing it because I could be a bit mad and a bit strange.”
Despite all her years on the show however, it seems Billie was even confused by The Day of the Doctor at one point:
“It was quite a confusing episode I thought. When I read the script I was like ‘what?!’ I got it in the end with the help of David though.”
One young fan brought the highlight of the session however as he asked who Billie preferred kissing on the show, Christopher Eccleston or David Tennant:
“I think I’ve kissed David more. So I think we are more practiced, more well-versed, and therefore our technique is somewhat better.”
Poor Chris.. Wasn’t his fault he only got one series… Or was it..? Who knows.
