Peter Capaldi has gone on record to answer the question that the Doctor himself might never have been able to answer… who does the Doctor prefer, Clara or River?

Speaking at the Q&A session following last night’s Husbands of River Song premiere at the BFI, Capaldi was diplomatic in his answer, saying:

“I’m so used to Jenna being around I’m finding it difficult to NOT imagine she’ll just turn up at any moment… Clara is a very special friend… But my wife is my wife!”
