Save Doctor Who Campaign Forced to Change Tactics Against BBC
The Save Doctor Who Campaign have raised enough money to press ahead with their proposed legal challenge against the BBC, but not enough to sustain the bid over the possible length of a case.
The Doctor Who Action Committee, leading the proposed challenge against the show being off the air, were given a further blow when BBC’s Biteback decided against running a feature on the campaign.
The campaign propose to invest the money raised in a media campaign against the BBC through newspapers and magazines, including a press conference next month where the next move of the campaign will be made public.
The committee maintains that the BBC, funded by a mandatory television license fee, has a duty to broadcast fee-payers’ favorite shows.
