Matt Smith Talks Typecasting, Florence And The Machine & Miniskirts

Matt Smith has given a new interview where he talks being typecast as well as marvelling at co-star Karen Gillan’s miniskirts.

Speaking to Now Magazine, Smith reveals that he doesn’t have any fears over typecasting when he exits the show:

“Playing the Doctor hasn’t prevented Christopher Eccleston or David Tennant from taking on other parts”

Matt meanwhile gives his thoughts on his friend Florence Welch, of Florence And The Machine fame, wanting to appear in the series:

“We’d have some fun and games – me and Karen are like naughty children as it is”

And enjoys Karen Gillan’s miniskirts!

“I know those short skirts caused a furore but I say bring them on. I see nothing wrong with celebrating women and their sexiness. There’s absolutely nothing exploitative or demeaning about it.”

Matt Smith and Karen Gillan both return to Doctor who early next year with Series 6 of the ongoing series.
