Former Ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston will star alongside A Christmas Carol‘s Sir Michael Gambon in Sky Atlantic’s new show Fortitude.
Sky says:
“Fortitude is a place like nowhere else. Although surrounded by the savage beauty of the Arctic landscape, it is one of the safest towns on earth. There has never been a violent crime here. Until now. In such a close-knit community a murder touches everyone and the unsettling, mysterious horror of this crime threatens the future of the town itself.”
Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci, Sofie Grabol (The Killing), Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife), Johnny Harris (This Is England) and Richard Dormer (Game of Thrones) will also star in the 12-part drama which centres around a mysterious death in the snowy town of Fortitude (Not at all inspired by Broadchurch we’re sure).
Filming in Iceland and the UK, Fortitude will screen in late 2014.
