The final episode of Series 8, Death in Heaven, will be shown on the big screen in a special showing at Station X, Bletchley Park on Saturday November 8.
Station X, originally the code name for the infamous covert radio interception station co-located with the Government Code & Cypher School at Bletchley Park during World War II, will lend it’s name to Station X Sci Fi @ Bletchley Park, a Cambridge Film Trust presentation, funded with the support of the BFI.
The event’s official website says:
Station X at Bletchley Park will be an inspiring, family friendly day of Sci-Fi celebrations, with immersive film screenings and fun for all ages, complete with moon buggies, a crashed spaceship site, and mysterious Sci-Fi sounds echoing throughout the park.
The event celebrates the best of Sci-Fi with 14 feature films screening within inspirational locations around the park including the iconic Museum of Computing, WW2 code-breaking huts, the Enigma Cinema and the Teleprinter Hall.

Known to those who worked there during WWII as Station X, this is a wonderful opportunity to explore Bletchley Park, once Britain’s Best Kept Secret, and marvel at the places where astonishing achievements were made by the wartime code-breakers who cracked the Enigma Code, and was the birthplace for the world’s first electronic computer, Colossus.
Tickets are on sale through Eventbrite with prices starting at £12 for concessions after 4pm, up to £28 for a full day/evening adult ticket.
