Doctor Who‘s audience fell slightly for last night’s episode, falling from the 4.16 million viewers that watched Extremis to 4.01 million for The Pyramid at the End of the World, the ratings reflect a 20.4% share of the potential audience.
I liked the episode and its one of the first I’ve watched this season at air time. I usually record and watch later. Does dvr-ing get figured into the numbers? It also comes on again later on BBS America so there’s the later viewers
Doctor Who failed to capitalise on the strong lead-in from the Arsenal vs. Chelsea FA Cup Final which drew 6.43m viewers. Ratings juggernaut Britain’s Got Talent 2017 was once again the most watched show of the evening with 9.56 million viewers, but was also down slightly on last weeks episode, showing Doctor Who was not unusual for the evening in losing a small number of viewers.
The episode scored the fifth highest overnight of the series, which as expected is being led by The Pilot. The final consolidated rating will of course include viewers who watched via catch-up and will bring the final total up by some considerable margin.

Quite frankly you’ve made them very difficult to watch …
If you don’t have standard cable or satellite television you have to buy every individual episode because they’re no longer on Netflix or Hulu ….
Only Amazon , BBC store , or Google play ….

It could just be me but last night’s episode seemed more of a filler than anything. It did not keep my attention. Though I would have LOVED to have seen the Doctor go thru the rest of the Season blind.

I did not like the episode. It was filled with political knocks and an unbelievable premise. The UN actually doing something? I’d sooner believe in time travel. I especially didn’t like the Doctor’s bungled handling of the crisis and Bill selling out the earth. As if she had the authority to speak for anyone other then herself.

It felt like something was missing. I hated the political leaders. Like do we have to hear another lecture on how its their planet.. But otherwise good reminds me of The Zygon Invasion. which i loved.
