They say you can judge a man on the quality of his enemies… Well if that’s true then the Doctor truly is the greatest being in the universe. From power mad Mexican dictators to The Great Old Ones, from space invaders to those trying to reclaim the planet that was once theirs, Doctor Who would be nothing without its vast array of bad guys and super-villains.
But who is the greatest foe the Doctor has ever faced?
As always, we’ve chosen the most likely contenders but a space is free if you have an innate love for Soldeed or Meglos. Most of the villains in this list are those who’ve returned to face our Time Lord on more than one occasion but true greats like Sutekh, the Voc Robots, the Kyrnoid, the Wirrn, Morbius and Solon, Fenric and many many more have been omitted.
