Last Call To Pre-Register For Chicago TARDIS Convention

Chicago TARDIS, which ranks as the second longest running US Doctor Who convention having started in 2000 (with Doctor Who conventions in the Chicago area dating back to the show’s twentieth anniversary in 1983) is in the last leg of pre-registration before the convention.

The three day convention, taking place over the weekend of the the 29th of November through the 1st of December, features guests including Doctors Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Paul McGann as well as companions ranging from the second Doctor era’s Frazer Hines to the TV Movie’s Daphne Ashbrook right up to the New Series with Freema Agyeman who played Martha who will be at the convention on Saturday and Sunday only. Other guests include Dan Starkey (Strax), 1980s bad guys Terry Molloy (Davros) and Michael Jayston (the Valeyard), Big Finish executive producer and voice of many monsters Nicholas Briggs and Tracey Childs (Big Finish seventh Doctor companion Klein) amongst many others. The convention also features a number of panels ranging from discussions of the recently discovered Troughton episodes,overrated/underrated stories, podcasting and everything in between.

Attendance for each day of the convention, located at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center in Lombard, Illinois is limited to 2000 people. Tickets that are still available include three day general admission for $85 as well as single day admissions for Friday and Sunday which are both $40 each. Registration ends at 5pm on November 15th after which those wishing to attend must buy tickets at the door at the convention itself.
