The BBC have confirmed that Doctor Who Series 8 will debut this coming August on BBC One following a Tweet from the shows official Twitter account.

The Tweet also reveals the first “teaser” trailer for the series, a 15 second clip showing Peter Capaldi’s silhouette in front of an exploding TARDIS interior as well as the slightly altered Doctor Who logo.
