With the 50th anniversary fast approaching, The Guildford Book Festival will launch it’s own celebration of the show this weekend as on Saturday 26th (from 11pm) James Goss, Steve Tribe and Marcus Hearn discuss their latest Doctof Who books at The Electric Theatre.
The Doctor: His Lives and Times by James Goss and Steve Tribe is the story of the Doctor himself as told through his enemies, allies and his own words. Containing letters, clippings and records, the book reveals the full never before told story of the. Time Lord. The book comes highly recommended by DWA.
Also being discussed at the event is Marcus Hearn’s The Vault, which draws together “unseen and iconic material from the BBC archive and private collectors”. The new book features a huge array of designs, photos, props, memos,letters and scripts alongside exploring other media such as comics, toys and audio.
Tickets cost £5 and are available from the Electric Theatre box office.
