The lesbian air-sharing/kiss between Vastra and Jenny in Deep Breath has received a staggering 6 complaints, The Independent reports.
Ofcom, the government-approved regulatory and competition authority, received the complaints after Vastra saved her wife’s life toward the climax of the episode. A wholly reprehensible act, obviously.
The Independent says:
“Although the Victorian London couple, portrayed by Neve McIntosh and Catrin Stewart, have appeared as lovers for three years, their first on-screen kiss sparked some people to attack what they saw as a ‘blatant gay agenda’.”
The article goes on to quote a single viewer and their comments which were shared on this website’s Twitter feed on Sunday.
