Eleventh Doctor actor Matt Smith has paid a visit to Australia Zoo in the Australian state of Queensland on the Sunshine Coast alongside former co-star Alex Kingston.

Sunshine Coast Daily reported that Matt cuddled up to April the Koala while Alex got the less cuddly end of the deal with Occa the cockatoo.

Hub Productions have announced the cancelation of their Whoniverse convention due to a family emergency that prevents Matt Smith from appearing. Matt Smith released a statement to say:
