Former Tenth Doctor actor David Tennant has appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, promoting his current show Gracepoint while speaking briefly on Doctor Who and Scotland.
Tennant remained cagey on his independence thoughts, as he had prior to the Scottish referendum:
“If you don’t live there, I think it’s hard to say. I think it’s hard to really know how it feels politically, how it even feels emotionally. I left twenty years ago so I quite rightfully didn’t get a say.”
Tennant went on state his preference for Jack Daniels over Irish or Scottish whiskey and that he didn’t play golf
“No! I don’t do it. I don’t drink whisky, I don’t play golf, I don’t even live in Scotland. I’m a very bad Scotsman! I’m very proud of being Scottish, but I’m very bad at it.”
Tennant praised Peter Capaldi, calling him “fantastic” and when asked about his own role in Doctor Who, Tennant said:
“It’s a bit like being the President, you’re always the Doctor.”
