Doctor Who Executive Producer and lead writer Steven Moffat has said how happy he is that Doctor Who has finally come to India, talking on the revitalisation of the show in a new interview with the Press Trust of India.

All current eight series’ of Doctor Who plus the forthcoming ninth are to air in India after a deal was struck between BBC Worldwide India and Star Media’s FX Channel.

Beginning with Christopher’s Eccleston’s single season, the show will begin airing on May 15 and will a re-introduction to the country after the discontinuation of the BBC Entertainment channel in Asia.
