It was a mixed night for Doctor Who at the BAFTA Television Awards on Sunday, The Day of the Doctor picking up the Radio Times Audience Award but An Adventure in Space and Time losing out on the Best Single Drama Award to Channel 4’s Complicit.

The 50th anniversary special starring Matt Smith, David Tennant and John Hurt beat out strong competition from Breaking Bad, Gogglebox, The Great British Bake Off, Broadchurch and Educating Yorkshire to win the award which was collected on the night by Faith Penhale, Marcus Wilson and Nick Hurran (pictured). Steven Moffat was believed to be away filming in Lanzarote with Jenna Coleman while Matt Smith was continuing his tour of America with a break in Cannes this week.
