Cinematographer Ali Asad has announced he will be working on two episodes of Doctor Who Series 9 via his Twitter account.

Syrian born Asad’s film credits include Rollin With the Nines, Rise of the Footsoldier, Doghouse, The Hooligan Factory and The Wee Man.
In other Series 9 news, actor Paul Kaye has been cast in an unspecified episode of the forthcoming series as a character called Prentis.
Kaye is best known today for his role in Game of Thrones as Thoros of Myr alongside other appearances in show’s such as Ripper Street, Being Human, Shameless, Skins and Midsomer Murders. To those old enough however, he will forever be Dennis Pennis, the infamous red carpet reporter from BBC2’s Sunday Show.
We cannot however confirm at this time whether the Magician’s a Prentis or not… [Somebody will be duly flogged for this pun! - .Ed]
